Spring Breakin'

Yes, I admit it...we've been MIA lately. Between illnesses, travels and just plain having fun Rude Manor has been taking a break from the blog world. Last weekend we headed to Fredericksburg to visit my sister and her family. It's always so nice to go relax and slow it down a bit when we see them. The kids had a Star Wars festival in the backyard - Kyle was in heaven!






The next day they took it easy and played in the sand box and on the fort while Noah went down to the creek to "fish". The chickens tried to help with the sand creations, but were quickly shooed out of the sandbox.






We celebrated Aunt Leslie's birthday with an oreo chocolate cheesecake and chocolate pudding for the kids. Yummy!

On the drive home, we took a detour to check out Lake Bastrop. Not much there, don't think we'll be making a return trip, but the kids enjoyed the short break.



And finally we took another detour on the drive home when we found a real patch of Texas Bluebonnets. Nothing like our roped off field of flowers at the area park...these were the real deal in Brenham. Gorgeous!





So that was our weekend...we're still Spring Breakin' around here. Headed to the BaZoo tomorrow. Hooray!
