Attitude Determines Success
ADS is an acronym for Attitude Determines Success, the basketball camp that Katie attended last week with some of her friends from school. She LOVED it! And I loved that the focus was on good sportsmanship first and then skills second. Our good friends teach the camp so I know she was in good hands. I was just surprised by how much she got out of it. On Friday they did a demonstration to show the parents what they had learned during the week. It was reminiscent of my junior high and high school basketball skill drills. And I was happy to see that those 5,6,7 and 8 year old girls (Katie being the only 5 year old since her birthday is this week) actually learned some skills. She even managed to get herself into the "Two Minute Club" which only four or five of the girls completed - doing wall sits for 2 minutes! There's NO WAY I could do that now. The rest of the group made it into the "One Minute Club".
