Forget the Lemonade...We're Making Margaritas

Can you believe it? Another stinking lemon thrown at us! Well, I turned that one into a lime and we made some margaritas! Seriously, the van we rented broke down on Monday once we got here. It is a long story...one that I'll probably tell when I get back but for now the margaritas seem to be doing the trick. Yes we spent a couple hours at the grocery store with our ice melting, but once the taxi showed up (after the tow truck took our rental away) I went and traded that ice back in for a new bag and life has been fine just since. Amy waited until we got to the condo to tell me that she had already opened the bag of ice, so I guess technically I gave back an open melted bag of ice -- oops. But after 12 hours without a vehicle we now have another minivan which seems to be working just fine. Hopefully they will not call us tomorrow to tell us the other one is fixed because if it is we have to drive it back to Houston...with the lovely tell-tale sign that we never should have driven it off the rental lot...a license plate with 666 in it. Ugh. Our vacation is going wonderfully. Despite a forecast of rain all week we have had sunny skies and great temperatures. A few minor sunburns, some great seafood and a few drinks and we are all happy. And the margaritas are delicious!
