Not shrinking yet
Well, the Shrinking Jeanschallenge has begun but I haven't been doing so well. I joined WW online AGAIN on Monday night. I did pretty well on Tuesday and stayed within my points range. I planned to do the same today.
Derek took the kids to school and I took his car to get new tires (Merry Christmas sweetheart!). Since it usually takes a while I had Amy pick me up at the tire place and we headed back to the house so she could write a paper and I could shower and pick up the house a bit. It turns out that the car was almost finished when she got there, but I had left my phone in the other car this morning so I couldn't call and let her know to just go to the house. So I went ahead and left with her and got a lot done around here today...all without snacking. Hooray!
But, by the time she finished her paper and we were heading back to pick up my car we were both starving. And I caved. We ran into Raising Canes and picked up a box of grease, fat and lard. You know it's unfortunate that they don't name their meals appropriately to make you think twice about eating them. The only thing on the menu is fried chicken fingers, french fries and garlic toast. And there is no nutritional information on their website for me to calculate my points. I'll just assume that I used ALL of my points for today and leave it at that.
So my short-term goal is 5 pounds. I think I'm going to have to break it into small little doable goals so I don't give up. But the long-term goal is 20lbs. I know I have more than that to lose, but once again baby steps. I also know that I look and feel healthy when I am that weight, so even though it's not really thin, I will be proud of myself for losing those 20lbs.
I did go ahead and figure out my points for the day and I (with dinner) have only gone over by 4.5 points. Since you have an extra 35 points per week, I'm still doing okay. But I will do great tomorrow!

I'm right there with you, sistah. I've got about 15-20 to lose and I'm just not sure I can do it. But, I like what you say about small steps. I can do that.
You are doing great! Just being aware is the best start. We are so glad you are taking part of the shrinking jeans challenge!

Hey Lisa!!!!! One pound at a time, that's all you can do. It's more thn I'm doing, ha ha.
I made it through the day while on WW by eating a lot of fat-free microwave popcorn (when I was craving something salty) and Tootsie Pops (when I was craving something sweet).
One day at a time. One "cave-in" is not that big a deal!
