Buona giornata!
Mille grazie Chick-fil-A! Mia bambini piace (and that is the end of my trying to figure out what to write in Italian) an Italian cd while they drift off to sleep. Maybe they'll be able to speak the language when they wake up??? I am still a bit shocked that Kyle wanted to listen to it instead of his lullaby music. Katie is playing with her dolls in her room and listening to it. I guess I shouldn't have thrown away the Spanish one last week...at least that one would be a bit more helpful than Italian.
Not much else is going on around here. Both kids missed their swim lessons yesterday. Kyle had an extremely brief illness which I'm attributing to molars coming in. Katie made it to t-ball practice and is showing improvement. We still need to work on batting. Apparently she is not used to the heavier bat since we've always practiced with the toy ones at home. I guess we'll be going out to get a bat on Thursday. Her first game is on Saturday. I can't wait.
We celebrated Noah's 11th birthday on Saturday at IT'Z pizza. The kids had a great time. That evening we (Dan) made a delicious dinner for Nana in honor of Mother's Day. Nana, Laura, Roy, Leslie, Dan, Joel and I battled it out in a very competitive game of Scrabble with Meredith and Katie joining in as they pleased. Joel and I tried our best, but Leslie and Dan beat everyone by a landslide. Katie was so tired that she fell asleep in my lap for about 45 minutes before we left. It was nice to spend the day with the whole family.

Katie,
I am sooo proud of how well you are doing in T-Ball. You caught more balls at practice than anyone else. Keep up the good work, and keep your eye on that ball!
Go Katie Go!!
