My Beloved Followers

Wow I read a post on Suburban Turmoil the other day about Facebook and being unfriended. I felt that today when I looked at my blog and saw that my number of followers went down 1! Nothing like a blow to the ego when you lose a follower, especially when you only had 10 to begin with! The good news is that the one who parted was not someone I knew directly, but it still stung. And now all of you who are thinking of doing the same are slinking in the corner going, oh - she really pays attention! The funny thing is I didn't think it really mattered to me. But I do wonder, did I offend or did I bore? It's not like I'm one of those people who sits around and has time to comment on every blog I read. Which I know is the quickest way to add followers. Nothing against it, but really I have too much to do with my time and family than to sit around and read blogs all day. And I'm not a consistent blogger - I don't post daily and I probably never will. There are things worth talking about in my life and then there are things that aren't. I don't want to lose the ability to filter out that which is not worth writing about just for the sake of posting.

So, to my dear followers, know that you are appreciated and loved. I do care that you are here and that you choose to take time out of your day to peek into our lives. And if any of you out there that stalk from afar would like to be made public - all you have to do is sign into blogger and choose to follow me. There's no requirement to have a blog. All it does is show a list of which blogs you follow on the blogger page after you sign in. It's simple really.

And if you choose to not follow me any longer, that's okay too. I will try not to let it get to me. And I'll try not to post about it again, but I'm not making any promises!

I remember the first time I lost a follower, it bothered me for a few minutes of which I wanted like the devil to figure out who it was but there are just too many now.

I will always be a follower, and always try my best to make sure you know I am still here. Then again, you already know we arent going anywhere. Did you know that you were one of the first blogs i ever read and followed? I think the Lowells were the first I read although never followed. And then there was Rude Manor.

By the way your entered in the contest. Thanks for playing! I hope you win, that would be awesome!

You guys want to meet at Rico sometime soon? We ate there so cheap on Sunday after church as it was kids eat free and we ordered off of the lunch menu. SWEET! Let me know, would love to see the kids. Well, I guess you and DH too! JK :)

Love and Prayers as Always,

Tim

It's funny, but I always feel weird whenever I lose a follower, too.
Hang in there. :)

When did the following thing start? I stopped blogging after my dad passed away back in July... I dont remember seeing that follow button before, is it a new thing?

I can see how that would be bothersome...I'm almost tempted not to have a follow button, if I didn't have one then I wouldn't have to feel like a dork because I only have 4!! (giggle)

You have a wonderful blog and I always look forward to reading more! ;-)

Ha! This cracked me up! I found you through Tim and I had to leave you a comment after reading about your 'blow' from losing a follower...SO FUNNY! I guess the reason I find it so funny is because I would feel just like you! You don't really think that means anything (following), but I ain't gonna lie...I keep up with it! :)

This is my first visit with you and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
AND JUST FOR THAT...I am gonna replace that crappy #10 follower who dropped out!

And old #10 follower if you are reading, I really don't think you're crappy...just being funny!...(felt like I needed to clear that up!) :)
