Horseducks?

From the back of the car, I hear giggling and then the question:

"Mom, is it cowducks or horseducks?"

What?!?! Oh, yeah..."it's cow BIRDS, sweetie."

We've been driving some back roads to Tomball this week and on Monday morning while passing a pasture full of cows, Katie said to Meredith, "there's a bunch of cows and a duck too." She remembered I had corrected her but apparently didn't remember what I had said. Probably a good thing since technically it's not a "cow bird", it's a "cattle egret". Did you know that? I always thought they were just cow birds.
