Wednesdays Thoughts

Okay, so Jen mentioned a free cookie on her blog, so I had to check it out because I love cookies! Go to the Kashi website and get your free cookie! Sounds yummy! Speaking of Kashi, have any of you had their TLC crackers? So good. And their cereal is really good too. I think I should probably start buying it again (or get paid by their marketing department). Thanks Jen for the reminder!

There's really not much else happening around here. The kids went to school today so I ran errands. I finally went and bought the boy some pants because I'm just afraid that one of these mornings we are going to wake up and shorts are just not going to be appropriate when it's 60 degrees outside. At least we know he's growing taller since all of his pants were about 2 inches too short. Can't help his little feet though. He's been in the same pair of running shoes for over a year. I checked today and it feels like there's still room to grow. However, I will have to break down and take him to get some other types of shoes soon. For some reason he outgrew his dress shoes and his other pair of tennis shoes. Maybe I bought magic running shoes last year and they just grow with his feet. Poor Katie asked me why I didn't buy her any clothes today. Um, could it be that even when you go WITH me and pick out clothes you still refuse to wear them? I actually saw a couple of things today that I thought she'd like but I have come to the conclusion that I am no longer able to pick out her clothes. She has very specific tastes and already they are not the same as mine. She's only 5! How did that happen already? Thank God we move into uniforms next year.

I also got my watch battery replaced today. For those of you who are ever actually around me, you know that I never wear a watch. Reason #1, the battery died about 4 years ago. Okay, so that's really not true, but it was at least 2 years ago. Reason #2, I forgot where I had put my watch when the battery died at least 2 years ago. I just never really saw a need for a watch. But, now that I am back at work and sometimes on the playground all by my lonesome with my itty bitty class, I find a need for a watch. And I found it a few weeks ago in my nightstand which is not really a nightstand because we never got around to buying nightstands for our bedroom. So now you may ask me for the time and I may be able to answer you correctly if it's a Tuesday or a Thursday and I'm actually at school. Once again, don't really see the need to wear a watch.
